Just in time for teachers planning ahead for the next school year. Please note this is not my product just my pairing! I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due.
Several products were combined to create these Kagan inspired cooperative mats to use in my classroom.
First, I used the free download for Chevron quarter page labels by Mrs Mac Munckins along with Kagan Style editable Desk tag from the Brown Bag Teacher Site. (Please note that these two also have other great resources…..you should really check them out!)

Assemble
I just cut the black tags out and pasted them onto the chevron cards. This created a mat to use for centers or stations around the room. Then, I decided to minimize the print size in order to create smaller card size labels to place at each individual student’s desk. (Sorry I do not remember if I decreased the print size to 50% or 60%) My cards measure 2 ½ x 3 ½. Also, added titles of face partner and shoulder partner to both the mats and cards.
Although, I laminated the cards I decided to provide added protection using baseball card sleeves. (a low cost option, .99 to 2.99 for 25-50 sleeves). Use double sided tape on the sleeves and just slid the cards inside. This also provided me with the flexibility of moving the cards around without having to re-tape them each time.
Again, I would like to give a shout out to Mrs Mac Munckins and Brown Bag Teacher for providing such great resources for teachers to use. I would like to note that I give full credit to the creators of the resources I used. I just love the combination using them both together.
